Sharing Public Analytics - ClickSpot Docs

Sharing Public Analytics

Share your link analytics with anyone using a public URL. No login required for viewers.

How It Works

When you enable public sharing for a link, ClickSpot generates a unique token URL. Anyone with this URL can view the analytics for that specific link without logging in.

Creating a Public Share

  1. Go to your link's analytics page
  2. Click Share
  3. Toggle Public sharing on
  4. Copy the generated URL

The URL looks like: clickspot.io/analytics/public/abc123...

What's Visible Publicly

Public analytics shows:

  • Total clicks and unique visitors
  • Timeline chart
  • Country breakdown
  • Device, browser, and OS breakdowns
  • Referrer breakdown
  • New vs returning visitors

Viewers can also apply filters and change date ranges.

What's Hidden

Public analytics is scoped to a single link:

  • Other links - Only the specific link's data is visible
  • Workspace information - No access to your workspace

Revoking Access

To stop public sharing:

  1. Go to the link's analytics page
  2. Click Share
  3. Toggle Public sharing off

The public URL immediately stops working. If you enable sharing again, a new URL is generated.

Use Cases

  • Client reporting - Share campaign performance with clients
  • Transparency - Show click stats for affiliate or partner links
  • Social proof - Display link popularity publicly
  • Team collaboration - Share with people outside your workspace

Security

  • Each public URL contains a unique, unguessable token
  • Tokens are specific to one link only
  • Revoking a token makes the URL invalid immediately
  • Public viewers cannot modify anything
