Organizing with Tags

Use tags to categorize and organize your short links, making it easy to filter, find, and manage links across your workspace.

Why Use Tags?

As your link collection grows, tags help you:

  • Find links quickly - Filter by tag to find what you need
  • Group related links - Keep campaign links, product links, or team links together
  • Track by category - See aggregated analytics for tagged groups
  • Organize across projects - Use consistent tags across your workspace

Adding Tags to Links

When Creating a Link

  1. Click Create Link
  2. Enter your destination URL
  3. Find the Tags field
  4. Type a tag name and press Enter, or select from existing tags
  5. Add multiple tags as needed
  6. Click Create Link

To an Existing Link

  1. Find the link and click to edit
  2. Scroll to the Tags section
  3. Add or remove tags
  4. Click Save Changes

Filtering by Tags

Use tags to filter your links list:

  1. Click the Filter button above your links list
  2. Select Tags from the filter options
  3. Choose one or more tags
  4. Your list updates to show only matching links

You can combine tag filters with other filters like domain or creator.

Managing Tags

Viewing All Tags

See all tags in your workspace:

  1. Go to Workspace Settings
  2. Select the Tags tab
  3. View all tags with their link counts

Renaming a Tag

  1. In the Tags settings, find the tag to rename
  2. Click the edit icon
  3. Enter the new name
  4. Save changes

All links with that tag are automatically updated.

Deleting a Tag

  1. In the Tags settings, find the tag to delete
  2. Click the delete icon
  3. Confirm deletion

Deleting a tag removes it from all links but doesn't delete the links themselves.

Tag Naming Best Practices

  • Use lowercase - Keep tags consistent with lowercase naming
  • Be specific - "q4-2025-campaign" is better than "campaign"
  • Use hyphens - Separate words with hyphens for readability
  • Create a system - Establish naming conventions for your team

Common Tag Categories

Here are some popular ways to organize tags:

  • By campaign - summer-sale, product-launch, black-friday
  • By channel - social, email, paid, organic
  • By content type - blog, video, landing-page, docs
  • By team - marketing, sales, support
  • By status - active, testing, archived
  • By client - client-acme, client-xyz
