Creating Workspaces

Workspaces help you organize your links, team members, and custom domains into separate containers for different projects, clients, or teams.

What is a Workspace?

A workspace is an independent container that includes:

  • Links - All short links created in the workspace
  • Domains - Custom domains connected to the workspace
  • Team members - Users who can access the workspace
  • Analytics - Aggregated data for all workspace links
  • Settings - Workspace-specific configurations

Creating a New Workspace

  1. Click the workspace switcher in the sidebar
  2. Select Create workspace
  3. Enter a name for your workspace
  4. Choose your workspace URL slug (appears in dashboard URLs)
  5. Click Create workspace

You're automatically set as the workspace owner.

Workspace Organization Strategies

By Client (Agencies)

Create a workspace for each client:

  • Client A Workspace → Client A's links and domains
  • Client B Workspace → Client B's links and domains
  • Invite client team members to their respective workspace

By Project

Separate large initiatives:

  • Product Launch 2025
  • Marketing Campaigns
  • Support Resources

By Team

Give teams their own space:

  • Marketing Team
  • Sales Team
  • Customer Success

By Brand

For multi-brand companies:

  • Brand A (with brand A's custom domain)
  • Brand B (with brand B's custom domain)

Switching Between Workspaces

  1. Click the workspace name in the top navigation
  2. Your available workspaces appear in the dropdown
  3. Click a workspace to switch to it

The dashboard, links, and settings update to show the selected workspace.

Workspace Settings

Access workspace configuration from the sidebar:

  • Domains - Manage custom domains
  • Tags - Organize links with tags
  • Members - Team access management
  • Billing - Subscription and usage (owners only)
  • Settings - Workspace name and URL slug

Renaming a Workspace

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Edit the workspace name in the name card
  3. Click Save

Renaming doesn't affect existing links or domains.

Deleting a Workspace

Only workspace owners can delete a workspace:

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Click Delete Workspace in the delete card
  3. Confirm by clicking Delete Workspace in the dialog

Warning: Deleting a workspace permanently removes all links, analytics data, and domain configurations. This cannot be undone.

Personal vs Team Workspaces

  • Personal workspace - Created during signup, only you have access
  • Team workspace - Created for collaboration, invite team members

You can invite members to any workspace you own, converting it to a team workspace.
